Our experience as Cargo Relocation Engineers is that all this good advice and info are flying off into lala land. Hardly anyone in the logistics chain acts within the customer service paradigm.
Inbound Logistics needs to target brokers and ceo's of carriers. Get them to seminars, illustrate the benefits like sigma 7, rewarding service at all levels. Until you can change the paradigm of " the cheaper the better", which is the what rules logistics currently, nothing will change and it needs to change to reflect your spot on observations.
